Someone posted the Serenity Preview DVD that was with the Battlestar Galatica set on usenet - a million thanks to that person!

Here is a torrent file of the preview - my husband converted it to an avi file:

If this DVD set is available to you, I encourage you to buy it to encourage the growth of good sci fi - but for us poor schmucks in rural areas, Canada (like me!) and Europe who can't get it otherwise, enjoy the shiny goodness! There are some great on-set moments.

Some small spoilers for the complete spoiler-phobes, though!

you have to get the AC3 codec, go to divx.com and to there faq http://www.divxmovies.com/faq/#4.4 go here and download the AC3 audio codec and it will work. i jus did.

I'm on a Mac running OS 10.2.8, and opening the Serenity file in Quicktime. The video works, but no audio.

Windows executables (exe) won't run on Macs. I didn't try the video in Quicktime, but it runs just fine in MPlayerOSX:

MPlayer is really versatile - I highly recommend it. It usually has a lot more of the video & audio codecs built in.

Thank you for putting this up and THANKS to the four seeders still on. I'm getting it downloaded now...slow but steady.

I promise to keep seeding as long as I can which will probably be the next big thunderstorm that rolls through.

UPDATE: and sure enough power went off a few minutes ago after I'd only had an hour to seed. I'll try to reconnect to the tracker and stay there until there is no interest or the Alliance shuts it down...

More than a little spoilery. Some scenes from the BDM, some stuff behind the scenes, one or two gag-reel-worthy moments, and the final third is about the fans. Interviews, reactions, etc. If you aren't afraid of watching the trailers, there are a few small teasers (in my opinion), but no MAJOR spoilers. And at least a sentence or two from every one of the nine BDHs.

BSG is absolutely incredible - do yourself a favor and order the miniseries (or just wait until...I think October or November, when the US season 1 comes out with the miniseries included). It's amazing. Season 2, currently airing, is up to Firefly standards, and I don't say that lightly.

But, um, this thread is about the Serenity featurette torrent. Just wanted to let everyone know it's lovely (though spoilerific), and I'll be seeding a while. Thanks to the thread starter :)

Yeah, spoilers. But if like me you're all for the instant gratification - just so completely worth it.

The on-set chemistry, the interviews, the tribute to the fans, the scenes shown (reasonable amount more than on the trailers) - all just making me that much more excited.
