Hi there - I know Petitrhino will be interested; maybe other French browncoats are lurking around here and will do the snoopy dance on their lurking tree.

I got official words from a UIP guy who thinks that "in a couple of days there will be very good news".

It seems that the trailer was sent with "The Island" this summer but it's up to the theaters to decide to show it or not. Did anyone hear anything about that? I'm going to see The Island tomorrow eveninng to check that.

If it really is with the Island that's good news. The Island has been doing really well overseas so.. yay!

I've converted my German relatives that are visiting for the week and they're fully prepared to go home touting the praises of Firefly and will see the movie so.. I'm doing my part to go international!

keep in mind though that different trailers appear in different cities at different times. I remember reading a thread on the browncoat board about that. people had gone and seen Batman Begins (and others, I forget which ones) in the US and Canada, some of them saw the Serenity trailer and some had not. I really don't know how it works. for all we know, the process is completely random.

I saw the trailer here in Florida with both Batman Begins and The Island, which by the way, did everyone else think that the Island sucks and was one big advertisement. I was as disappointed with it as I was with I, Robot.

Well I'm in the UK and went to the UGC (or 'Cineworld' as it is now called) to see The Island. No Serenity :( I'm yet to see anything of it on the big screen :(
