I've been trying to get a friend (he's more of a Browns fan that a Browncoat, tho) to talk to the local theater about a midnight showing, like we did for all three Tolkien movies. It's the biggest theater in DE, which isn't saying like, a whole lot, but... It'd be cool.

Just in case we can't do that, I'm very interested in hearing about any 12:01 showings of Serenity in the Mid-Atlantic region 8-)

Me, I'm taking the day off, and I plan to see it multiple times (drum roll, please)-

The Day of Serenity!

No info for you on that front, but I have been curious about midnight Serenity showings. I'm thinking we should expand your scope and use this thread to post information on any midnight screenings of Serenity anywhere.

By all means! And i'll go write JMC an email about the DE midnight showing, right now.

Just over six weeks and counting (I'm goin' on a diet, and get more sleep and drive more carefully 8-)!

*Bump*

Still haven't nailed down a 12:01 showing in my area (Newark, DE to Philly). Peoples Plaza will have it, but they're not planning on a midnight showing. The older theater in Newark will show it for a 12:01, if they get it, and they won't know until that week!

Help!

Vince, who's got a lot of Browncoats in Delaware stomping at the bit to go see this puppy!

Howdy.

I'm a manager at a theater in Pittsburgh, PA and we're trying to get something going for a Thursday night 12:01 showing. I believe our booking agent has to work out arrangements for stuff like that with the studio. Unfortunately, he's got quite a few theaters and plenty of work to do on a normal day, so we haven't heard anything back yet. We've done this with plenty of other movies in the past. Usually we do a buffet/movie thing that starts around 10:00pm. You hang out in the restaraunt/bar/lounge area for a couple hours and eat at the buffet then go into the theater at 12:01 for the movie. I was hoping we'd be able to play the pilot episode on the big screen before hand, but it looks like we might just put it on the tvs in the bar/restaraunt so people can watch it or not as they munch on buffet stuff. Of course, costumes would be welcome and encouraged. Hopefully we'll hear something this week. If not, I'll give him a call Friday and try to get a sitrep.

..Kevin
