With the 1-month countdown mark coming up soon, the Phoenix Browncoats are planning to celebrate in style! All are welcome to join. I'm just going to copy Kimberly's message from the AZ Browncoats message board:

Hello Everyone!

I just got off the phone from making more plans for the countdown
shindig. The location and time have NOT changed. But there are some
updates. Here are the new and very shiny details:

The Location: Buffalo Wild Wings at Scottsdale Rd and the 101
Date and time: Tues Aug 30th at 7:00.

The manager described the place as a "family oriented establishment
with a sports bar feel". All ages are welcome, so if you are under
21 please join us. If you have children, feel free to bring them. It
is a non-smoking establishment, but they do have a patio if anyone
smokes.

Now for the very shiny news: They have a DVD player and will allow
us to play some episodes. I am going to meet with the GM to figure
out which screen and what part of the resaraunt will work best for us
(if someone bought the Battle Star DVD with the Serenity extras on
it please bring it). I am also going to see if we can hang a
Serenity poster near where we will be.

Additional Shiny info: Tuesdays they have $.35 wings all day. In
addition to this, I am told that we may be able to get additional
discounts on food since we will have such a large group.

They will also probably put signs up that say "Arizona Browncoats"
and "One Month Left". This could be a good chance to do some BDM
promoting, so I thought that those who have Serenity-style clothing
could dress up. I am going to wear my "Joss Whedon is My Master Now"
t-shirt and I know lots of you have chinese and western clothing.

This place is really excited to have us! I would love to get at
least 20 people to show up for this since that's what the
reservation will be for (if more show up, that's okay too). Right
now there are only 10 people that have said they are going. As I
said before, if you can't show up at 7, anytime after will be fine.
If everything goes as well as it sounds like it will, this could be
a good place for future shindigs. Please, please, please show up if
you can, even if its just for a little bit.
