Hi Ya'll,

All I ever read about on this board is about those on the West Coast. Where are the ones on the East Coast? I know there are Firefly/Serenity fans. I mean thats how I became one because of the word of mouth. I truly love this show and will watch it over and over again until I get my fill. Which will probably never happen. I hope that on Sept 30th the movie theatre is packed. I think we should just pull people out from the street and get them to watch it. It would be well worth it LOL!!!
I wish I could meet Mal and Simon>
For those of you who have the luxury to see them. Please take lots of pics!!!!And have a marvelous time.
Thanks all,

-Debs

Yup, I believe there's a bunch of us MD Browncoats. I myself divide my time between Calvery County and the University of Maryland. Now, all I need to do is figure out which theatre I'll be going to on the 30th...

No power in the 'verse can stop me!

Good to hear it. I have just sent a mass e mail through out the company giving them a brief summary about the movie Serenity. I will do my best to get everyone I know to watch this movie.
I hate it when a good show disappears and that is why I am so faithful to this cause.
If only we can get the cast over here to MD to promote there movie. I guess its too late but it would have been great!!!

Please spread the word. I know I am... :o)

CALLMEATH

If you can make it, there's gonna be a gathering of Browncoats in Raleigh, NC on the 30th. We're calling it the North Carolina Big Damn Movie Premiere Party.

Here's the link: www.ncfirefly.com

And also the Yahoo group: http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/fireflync/

Everyone is invited, and feel free to bring friends and family.

Wish I could but I will have to settle for supporting Serenity here at White Marsh. I am sure that there is going to be a great amount of tickets being sold over here so I guess we are all going to have to get them in advance.

I really can't wait for the movie I am counting down til September 30th.

It's going to be out of this world.

I'm a displaced Marylander (from north of Westminster) currently living overseas. I'll be back in Maryland for some training around the movie screening weekend and am planning on driving down to NC for the NCBDMPP (or whatever the complete acronym is).

All my life I wanted to be somebody. I guess I should have been more specific.

I'm in Silver Spring / Rockville. I'll be at the Regal in Rockville opening day.

There are many, many East Coast Browncoats. Maybe we're a quieter group than the West Coast folks.

I've already talked to several people who have confirmed gatherings at the theaters in the DC area. Most notably the big stadium theaters in the area.

That is great. I am sure that you'll find the time to kick back and watch the movie. Its so great to see so many of us. I have a really good gut feeling that this movie will be one of the best and most talked about for the year.
Has anyone been able to see the MSN Movie Poll, are we still trailing behind Tim Burton?

Hey where would I find a quote to attach to my responses? Is it something we just pull out from the shows we watched?

Another from Rockville, will probably also see it at Regal, though probably not opening day (we usually avoid opening day for big blockbuster movies as too crowded). :)

Hiya!

Originally from Howard County (Columbia), now resident in Cambridge, UK.

The BDM opens here and I'm trying to spread the word to the University crowd.

CAPNERIC I always seem to follow you on these threads. I'm in Columbia, you might recall! Grew up here and moved back a few years ago from the West Coast.

I'm trying to find out whether any local theaters are going to have any midnight shows on the 29th. Has anybody confirmed any Maryland theaters that are doing so?

If not I'll probably be going to Muvico at Arundel Mills.

Aaah Muvico. I love that theatre. It has the best sound and seating. I will be watching it at White Marsh that theatre too has great seating and sound as well.
I am sure there is a special screening of Serenity in Maryland I guess its who you know to find out where and when.

Everyone stay strong and positive. This movie will open the eyes and doors for not only new fans but for the actors as well. I would love to
see Simon and Nathan in more movies. They are just too cute and talented to not build up there resume.
