I recently discovered "Serenity Oz", and have been reading some fun stuff there. Well here's a thread that contains 2 great reviews and some fun Aussie chat.

WARNING: the second has VERY minor plot spoilers, so if you have absolutely no clue of the premise of the film and wish to keep it that way, ....

this is the sci-fi movie of the year. Moving, exciting and subversive

Very Shiny!!

Makes me want to go to Australia, where they clearly appreciate our 'verse.

Considering some of the other Sci-fi movies out this year..... High Praise. Things are looking good for our little movie that could. Hope we get some major reviewers here to give her High Praise as well. Couple of "thumbs up" couldn't hurt.

Australia may rock, but from what I've seen on Public Broadcasting, the place is just crawling with poisonous critters--snakes, spiders, octopi, etc. It's a wonder anyone gets out alive.

Maybe it's living so close to death that makes you folk appreciate good sci-fi.

All I can say is, "watch where you step" and good luck!!
