Central VA/Metro Richmond brethren,
I'm havin' a hard time finding a theater that will be showing Serenity. I've been able to confirm that Virginia Center Commons is and I've confirmed that every other theater near-in is NOT showing it, with the exception of the Commonwealth 20, for which I cannot find an office number. VCC isn't doing any sneak previews, also.

What do we know? How far will we have to drive to see our movie that's getting so much good mainsteam exposure?
I plan to be at the earliest showing, so as to be amongst the true believers.

Who wants to get together for a trivia contest before-hand?

have you seen this?!!!

Townhall.com is excited to have the opportunity to get bloggers added to the press list for advance screenings of the sci-fi movie Serenity before its release on September 30th. Set 500 years in the future, the movie depicts crew members of the spacecraft "Serenity" fighting against "The Alliance," a government agency that has taken control of the solar system following a war shortly after colonization.

Richmond is on the list, if you have a blog, sign up and see the movie on the 26th at Regal Short Pump 7:30!!!

TwoBlue! I thought someone had become of you. Great to see you. Are you going to be able to go the movie (early or otherwise).

Thanks bunches for the huge tip. I'm going to repost it in a dedicated thread.

yes I signed up! I'm going, although there was no confirmation e-mail, just instructions on the site saying show up 25 minutes early, no recording devices, you wait in the press line, etc etc. (you'll see when you sign up) I'm hoping they just add your name to a list and check you off when you get there, guess I'll find out on Monday!! Hope to see you there (and Browncoat1 too!)

and thanks for making this a proper thread so that everyone else will know, I wanted to but wasn't sure how! btw found this info originally on Whedonesque.com
