"There is a sense that this is still not over. It's hard to put a finger on what's so special about this project and about this group of people, but it's just one of those things you have to trust in, and relish. I am very, very proud."
---Jewel Staite on "Firefly" and "Serenity" in "Finding Serenity" (essay collection by Jane Espenson)

#3 on Amazon!!!

This is one of the things that I hoped would happen after the domestic release of the BDM. Before the movie opened I think it was at #7 (sorry, can't get the amazon.asp page to load since FFFn is still running a bit sluggish) . Now it's up to #3 (and that's even with Amazon ending their $5 off sale). To me, that says that people who saw the movie and didn't know anything about Firefly decided to find out more. And we all know what happens when people watch the DVDs with an open mind.

Hopefully we have enough time (October 13th is the earliest theaters can opt out of renewing the contract on Serenity) for the word of mouth from the new converts to build.

Cross your fingers. And keep putting up 11th Hour's posters. It's the least intrusive form of in-your-face guerilla marketing out there .
