BADGERSHAT

Hold on a second, Static.. I think we need to wait and see... there's rumors a-plenty, and I don't think anything's confirmed yet.

And besides, why not? You telling me there's no market for seeing James Bond movies set in High School? It would be like a super-suave "21 Jump Street" update...

I've seen his name pop up on a number of silly lists of who will be the next Bond, but I don't take it that seriously.

He just doesn't have the swauve to pull it off.

If he were a Brit, Antonio Banderas would be a great Bond, he's got that swagger down.

HKCAVALIER

When will people ever understand that the reason Sean Connery was so perfectly cast for the roll is because secretly (or not so secretly) he was a brutal, ugly, dog-faced killer? Bond's a monster with so much charisma you're willing to forget it. But after Connery, every last one of them (with the notable exception of George Lazenby) has had to be everybody's ganny's idea of a dream boat! Could anybody ever really fear Roger Moore? Or Pierce Brosnan? Orlando Bloom is the logical next step.

Remember Leo DeCaprio's Bond moment from Catch Me if You Can? I've never quite understood why folks think Leo's pretty. I think he'd have just the right tinge of psycho to make it work.

Hey, hey, hey, don't be mean. We don't have to be mean, because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

HK, I do believe you hit the nail squarely on the head. James Bond is a proffesional killer, who is cold enough to use charm etc to get what he needs/wants.
Thats what he does, he's paid to do a job no one else can/could/would want to do...

But hey, maybe he could give out sweets to children, that'll be just as good...

NERVOUSPETE

Dylan Moran for Bond!

And Bill Bailey for Q!

And Simon Pegg for the evil villain!

"You know what you are? You're a beard with an idiot hanging off of it."

Or, more seriously, I say Cillian Murphy or Paul Bettany.

XEROGRAVITY

Ya know. I'm still scratching my gorram'd melon wondering what any of this has to do with FF or Serenity. This some kind of ninjapost designed to bury the signal? Ain't there a forum for stuff that has nothin to do with Whedon's show and film?

All wasted lifespan is nonrefundable.

No such thing as gravity. The "Earth-that-was" just sucks.
