Firefly was an incredible series.
Serenity is an incredible movie.

Joss Whedon, and everyone else involved in bringing me that series and this movie, I want to thank you more than you know.

Thank you. Thank you so much.
~~

Take my love, take my land,
Take me where I cannot stand.
I don’t care, I’m still free.
You can’t take the sky from me.

Take me out to the black,
Tell them I ain’t coming back.
Burn the land and boil the sea,
You can’t take the sky from me.

There’s no place I can be
since I found Serenity.
You can’t take the sky from me....

(If you have anything negative at all to say, please do not post it here)

~Joss will you marry me?~
~or can we at least become best friends?~

I agree fully! I am sick of reading how people supsoedly hated the movie. it is a great movie. All my friends that I have brought (by now that number is almsot 30) have loved it! Some are film students who have never seen Firefly, some are avid Firefly junkies like myself, and others are just casual fans of the 'Verse. But they all loved the movie. The acting, the dialogue, the effects, the STORY, everything about it we have loved.

I am proud of this movie, and proud to be a fan of it. I just got back from seeing it a third time, and will see it again next weekend with a friend who is watching Firefly as we type!

but yes, I love the show, I LOVE the movie. i cant see how these suposed fans can hate a product of our collective love for the show. I mean, all in all, when faced with the decision of making the movie for a broad audience, or the fans, Joss obviously sided with us, more so then the newbies.

I love this movie, and cannot say anything negative about it. except maybe it should be longer! but that's what they make DVD's for ala Lord of the Rings!

Let me just say that I absolutely loved the movie.. and even more so on the second viewing. Joss, our Big Damn Heroes, Universal, and all of the rest of the cast and crew deserve huge thank yous!! It was an emotional roller-coaster ride and I'm glad that I got to be part of it. Whether or not we ever get a sequel, we won! Just think how wonderful it was to see it on the big screen... I, for one, am an eternally grateful, very pleased fan, and a hugely proud Browncoat!

There is a lot of negativity, which makes me sad, especially when it comes from fans. But there is also a lot of positive coming out of the film, excellent reviews, new converts, and a good deal of greatly pleased fans as well.

Regardless of whatever anybody else believes, whether they liked the movie or not, I know that in the end I will always be one big damn fan of all of it, Firefly-verse through the comics, and straight on into the Serenity-verse! Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I thought the movie was amazing! And after my second viewing last night, I've only confirmed that I am damn proud to carry the Browncoat name! There were parts that I loved, that made me giddy, that made me angry, that made my cry ... but that's what makes it so DAMN good. It's so often I go to a movie, and come out not having felt much of anything. If a movie can truly make me feel and care about the characters, the way that the series made me feel, then in my opinion, it was an utter success!

I will forever be grateful to the excellent folks at 'Versal, and I can't wait for the DVD, and hopefully, down the road, some BIG DAMN SEQUELS!

Loved it.
On my top 5 list immediatly.
People who don't like it are just in a little grief.

Or they've written the movie in their mind so many times where 'certain things' don't happen, and the real deal's too painful.

Come home, our brothers and sisters, the BDM was the word.

Best. Movie. Ever.

Just got a couple more total virgins to see it and, as is the case with 100% of the dozens of folks I've brow-beaten into seeing the BDM, they totally loved it. There's nothing not to love, it's an incredibly great movie. Period.

Going to see it yet again. It just gets better every time.

I don't know what your problem is, but I bet it's hard to pronounce.

I saw Serenity for the fourth time last night and am going again today, maybe twice. I love the movie more with each showing. I will see it again and again until it is no longer in the theaters. I already asked Amazon to email me when the DVD is going to be released. I plan to buy at least four copies and maybe more.

I live in Fresno, CA which is definitely not a hotbed of Browncoat activity. Each time I've seen the movie, it's been very well received. People of all ages, races, and types are coming in to see it. As I watch, I also listen for audience reaction, and people are reacting as Joss intended. They laugh, they gasp in all the right places. Some stay through all the credits.

I think we got a wonderful movie. I hope we will get wonderful sequels. All I know is I will support Serenity in any way I can.

"Look at the pretties!"
