I liked the advertising campaign for Serenity but so far it is very sci-fi orientated, i.e. lots of adds for it on the Sci-Fi channel. I think a better move would be to see some of our big damn heros as guests on chatshows, my favourite would be 'Friday Night with Johnathan Ross'. The man is a movie critic, and if you saw Film 2005 (his other show) you will know he gave a good write up on Serenity.

The man is a comedian and so putting guests on his show like Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk (if possible, he's still in Spam I guess) and Summer Glau would be a bold move. Nathan is a funny guy and could definitely hold his own against Johnathan Ross (no punn intended), and Summer as always will break hearts.

Another idea I had would be for the crew to do a celebrity poker match. Poker is getting big over here in the U.K, and I think this would make great telly, with Morena and Jewel sniping at each other as they do, and it would be really interesting to watch the dynamics of everyone while they are playing.

WE HAVE TO BOOST THE SIGNAL PEOPLE

Yes I agree. I think because they've not got a huge marketing budget they're only targetting sci-fi fans. You'll never get spectacular numbers if you only preach to the congregation. It would have been nice to see a bit broader campaign.

It would be great to see our BDHs on chat shows and Nathan Fillion would be especially entertaining. However, chat shows just want famous names. Every chat show has 3 standard guests: 1 big name actor, 1 pop star and 1 celebrity from another programme on the same channel. The first two are to get viewers and the third is promotion for the TV channel.

Also, Sci-Fi is advertising it cause that's where it's playing right now.

Doesn't cost em much (or anything if they have unsold add time to fill in).
