Browncoats,

We are all aware of the less than spectacular box office numbers. And try as we might, we can't seem to break through the way we like.

However we can shoot for a more modest goal.

The main other genre-specific film coming out is The Fog.

This movie is basically a standard suspense/horror movie, and doesn't hold nearly our fan base.

My proposed project for this weekend, hold Serenity above the Fog in the weekend box office.

This is more than possible. We all need to get back out there, as much as possible. I'm sure we've all said this over and over. But if we can hold Serenity over the Fog in the box office, then when Doom comes out the chances of Serenity staying in theatres over the Fog is heightened.

Doom is going to kill us, it has the "star power" and the sci-fi/action. The Fog however has lesser television based stars, much like our crew, and has a much better chance of being beaten by our 3rd Weekend Serenity than we do of taking on Doom in a 4th Weekend.

So, I implore you, get out to see Serenity again if possible, and if you hear people talking the Fog, sell up Serenity instead.

I don't have a strategy outside of that, but everyone has been their own unique kind of creative so far. We just need to HOLD here, and keep Serenity flying into a 4th weekend stronger than the other genre films.
