Is is Washburn or Washburne? (difference bein the E at the end. Friend says its without...novelization says washburne which is what i assume the script says.) He said he looked it up on the movie site...contradiction. Which is it?

I'm gonna go with Washburne, because that's how it's carved into his tombstone.

I have read the novel and the Visual Companion Guide and would have to say it is Washburne . Even though the Visual Companion guide does show it both ways in a couple different places.

I also think (my opinion only) that Joss came up with the name Washburne because Gina Torres is married in real life to Lawrence Fishburne. Another big double meaning.

Anyway, those are my thoughts.

Yet another reason for Fishburne to have played the Operative.
