$80 million US domestic gross (to qualify for a sequel)
- $25 million (current Box Office Gross)
= $55 million

$55 million divided by $5.75 = 9,565,217.30
tickets.

divided by (70,291) number of fans at the
http://browncoats.serenitymovie.com/serenity/
Universal Official Website

9,565,217.30 / 70,291 = 136 tickets. More
die-hard fans = less tickets that still
have to be bought.

Buy a ticket and see the movie.

Buy a ticket and *not* see the movie.

I have a nice collection of red Fandango on-line tickets started.

Map of the United States where Serenity is playing:

Aol Moviefone http://movies.aol.com/
Fandango http://www.fandango.com

Keep checking the theaters around you. Even a Second-run cheap ticket helps the Box Office total. The longer the movie plays, the more
chance the crowds might come and see it.

Start your own collection of on-line tickets bought.

Serenity Dvds for Christmas!

God bless you all, but if I'm going to buy a ticket, I'm going to see the movie...and alas I don't think the local theaters are showing it anymore...I'm in podunk New Mexico.

I had to take my 3-year-old to see the movie when my wife and I actually went.

MY SUGGESTION for other's like me.

Buy:
The action figures
The comic books
Finding Serenity (Awesome Book)
Serenity...on DVD...for yourself...and as a Christmas present for all your friends and family. :) They'll understand.
The Official Serenity Magazine
The Novelization.

Pretty sure Universal will get kickbacks on everything but the Finding Serenity book (pre-Universal's involvement).

GO FORTH AND CONSUME BROWNCOATS!!!

Leaving in a couple minutes to see the movie.

Keep checking the theaters!

Already bought some on-line tickets today too.

Do you know there are two covers on the
Serenity Official Magazine

www.titanmagazines.com

I am reading Finding Serenity right now. Bought through the link on this website.

Don't forget Serenity The Official Visual Companion! Bought it through this website too.

Well, I brought 19 tickets for the first showing (two people ended up not coming, but nonetheless); 4 for the second, 5, the third and fourth; 2, the fifth; and 4, the sixth. Each time I brought at least one person who was seeing the movie for the first time.

So, that was my contribution.

On a mostly unrelated note - I was visiting my sister at her college the other day, and met a girl who neither of us knew. We started talking, and when I mentioned 'Firefly,' she said she'd seen it. I traced back how she knew of the show, and it turns out that she's friends with the girlfriend of my friend's ex-roomate. She knew of Firefly because of me. That was pretty neat, I thought.

Wow! All I got was a 1 close relative to go Premiere weekend and 2 other close relatives to go the next weekend.

I wish I was brave enough to hand out free tickets.

I'm hoping the US map has not been updated for this weekend yet or I will not be able to see Serenity Saturday and Sunday.

At least I can still purchase on-line tickets until Thursday at the local (1 hour away) first-run theater.
