Exact numbers for DVD/VHS rentals can be found at:

It looks as though for the week of 12/25 Serenity made $3.65 million in VHS and DVD rentals. That's 14% of the total box office, so that's not bad. Unfortunately you can't find exact sales totals, but the sales section does allow you to see where Serenity finished the week at several top retail and internet outlets, including #1 at Amazon & DVD Empire.
