Okay, as a relative novice to the Firefly/Serenity 'verse, this may be a little bit of a naive question, but here goes:

If Serenity the movie is supposed to take place after the conclusion of Firefly the series, why does Mal tell Simon that he and River are not

It seems to mean with things started getting really bad for Mal because of Simon and River were there he changed his mind about them being memebers

He doesn't say that as far as I remember. He says "I look after me and my own, that don't include you less I conjure it does." I.e. If your no use to us your dead weight.

Not "your not a part of my crew". It's a symptom of the fact that things are going from bad to worse for the crew.

One other question, probably not appropriate for this thread, but ...

Does anyone know how to get a letter to Joss? Or Mutant Enemy? I tried sending one to the P.O. Box 900 address in Hollywood and I never hear anything. I thought maybe I'd get something back ... Any thoughts?
