Yet Another Convert...

Greetings:

I just wanted to share a little story about Firefly...no need to respond. Like many of the new browncoats, I was introduced to Firefly via Serenity. After seeing the film, I purchased the series, and I feel completely in love it.

Anyhow, over the course of my family's Christmas get together, I bullied (nicely) my sister into watching the series and film with me. It took some work, but after getting her to watch the pilot she was the one insisting on watching yet another and another episode. She says I'm like Simon...

The whole point of this is that this wonderful, ill-fated series (or not, considering a film was made) has brought my sister and I closer together. Not since the glory days of quoting "Aliens" ("game over man, game over") have we had so much fun together. Two more browncoats have joined the ranks. May the impossible dream of another season come true.

i'm just so glad to see how many new fans have been stopping by this site lately. It is very encouraging. This is the kind of thing that we need to get more from the Firefly/Serenity 'verse. Welcome to the fandom that is the Browncoats, I'm glad you're here. Keep spreading the word about Firefly. I also had a similar situation with my younger sister. While i was home one weekend, she saw me watching Firefly. She watched part of an episode, but that is all she got to see before i went back up to campus. She then came to visit one weekend and she really wanted to see Serenity, so I took her. She loved it. Now i'm at home for Christmas break and I showed her the Firefly pilot, and like your sister, she was the one that kept insisting that we watch another episode. We'd watch about two episodes a night, and she'd be disappointed that I would stop at two. I didn't want to do more then that because i wanted her to savor the flavor since there are only 14 episodes. so at the time of writing, we only have "Objects in Space" left to watch, and then she's seen them all.

This is so cool converts are dropping in all the time (im not gonna put a smiley face I just wanna say im smiling largely). As Omelet said this is your addiction and you'll never kick it. Also this forum is the best I've known. It's full of good, kind people. Hmmmmmm let me think..... that's no bad thing :D
