Any browncoats out there in the K.C. area?

Hell yes,I'm a Browncoat in Lenexa! I'm pretty new to the 'verse, but I've been hanging out here as soon as I found Serenity and Firefly back in November.

There's a KC Browncoats website: http://s12.invisionfree.com/kcbrowncoats/ but I've never seen much action on it, nor have I posted anything on it.

If you find any cool Firefly/Serenity T-shirts locally around KC at Hot Topic or some place, let me know. I'm looking for one, but haven't found one yet. People at Hot Topic, which supposedly had some looked at me like I was crazy when I asked them at the Hot Topic in Olathe at the Great Mall...

Well, I'm in the same state, anyway. I'm down in Joplin. Not too many vocal Browncoats down here, though, so I'll claim KC as my general vicinity.

Besides, I'm a rabid Chiefs fan! Go KC!

Shiny! Good to know I ain't the only one out here. And Joplin counts as well! There's a St. Louis Yahoo group, there is a Mid-Missouri group that looks to be related to Serenity/Firefly gaming, and there is a Kansas group that I joined last night also (with all of three members, me being that third).

Haven't found any place carrying the t-shirts local-like, but haven't been looking all that hard neither. I've found a ton of web-based shops selling all sorts of stuff tho. Gonna have to be lookin' into some of those myself.

Glad to meet both y'all - hope ta keep in touch.

Raytown here. Never seen any Firefly gear anywhere around the area but it has been a while since my last trip to Hot Topic :)

Not too far afield from you, I'm at 87th St and Switzer - just across the freeway from Lenexa.

Heya Prowler - good to know y'all are out there. Find us a few more independents all local-like here and we might just have to throw our own shindig (course we gotta find some lady browncoats to attend...or at the very least a few companions).

Ha I used to live about 10 blocks from you near 87th and James A Reed!
My brother would love to come to a shindig I bet, he tried to get one going when I got him addicted to Firefly last year.

Woops wrong 87th, you're on the Kansas side.
I was thinking Ditzler, not Sweitzer.

I'm at K-10 and K-7 in Manchester Park subdivision behind Smiley's Golf Course.

Yeah, Hot Topic is supposed to have some shirts, or at least be able to order them....

Let me know if you ever find them. I haven't been impressed with any of the Cafeexpress shirts on the web.
