MISSTRESSAHARA
Quote:Originally posted by jolly: I remember reading that Harrison Ford wanted Han Solo to be killed off in Return of the Jedi. IIRC, the desire came in part from an unwillingess to revise the role. When the Star Trek franchise was revised, there was little problem with casting. None of the actors had gone on to stellar careers after the original series ended (please don't flame me all you TJ hooker fans). What does the future hold for the acting careers of the Firefly cast and will any developments interfer with subsequent movie or television projects? I gather that Adam Baldwin and Alan Tudor find frequent work on TV and film, though often as supporting characters rather than the lead. I've also seen Nathan Fillion in supporting roles in several movies and he seems to be finding work as leads in some upcoming B-movies. Summer Glau also is finding subsequent work, like her role in the upcoming Mammoth. I don't know anything about the remaining cast members. Two questions come to mind: 1. Alan Tudor is quoted as saying he supported Joss's decision for Serenity. Was this driven by a desire to avoid future commitments to the Firefly world so that he could pursue alternative lines of work? (I understand that the cast have agreed to work in sequels. Does this also apply to Tudor?) 2. Which cast member is most likely to go onto mainstream success, either as the lead in a Nielson top-20 TV show or a motion picture grossing more than 100 million at the box office? (Serenity 2: The Search for Wash's Identical Twin Who Also Happens to be a Witty Pilot is acceptable as a guess).
