America loves a winner!

ONE award nomination? And Revenge of the Sith has 10 nominations....

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

Yes, yes I know we all know the BDM was much better than Sith, but Sith also made ten times as much at the box office as Serenity did, and money talks, unfortunately.

Be grateful Serenity was nominated to being with!

Money shouldn't be a consideration for a genre specific award ceremony, especially for a genre that is usually ignored by bean counters, so to do the same thing is... well, outrageous IMO.
Costumes and effects I will give Sith. But writing? Are they kidding?! As much as I love Star Wars and am grateful for what George Lucas has done for sci fi in movies, I don't think that means he should be automatically nominated for any award he would be eligable for, and that is the only reason I can think as to why his name is included for some of those awards. And Hayden Christensen as best actor?? (If anyone should have been nominated for best actor from that movie it should have been Ewan McGregor.)
And Nathan Fillion wasn't at all?? Pure insanity.

But yay for Serenity and Summer Glau.
