Alright, MegaCon was amazing. Easily the best convention I've ever been to. The number of people, espescially in the dealer room, was at times overwhelming, but it's also good to see such a large number of people, significantly larger than was even expected by Beth, the owner of Megaocn. The shuttle service, the security, and the... shall we say odd judging of the Firefly costume contest are actually the only negatives of the con, the rest being absolutely wonderful. After calls and people-finding runs, we were finally able to get a HUGE Firefly group together on Saturday. Between our small group with me, Gabi, and Arisa, and our huge group later on, I'd say we were photographed at least 35 times. Everyone there was VERY perceptive to Firefly and Serenity, and it was wonderful to see so many Browncoats. My costume went off without a hitch, and I'm happy to say I made many peoples' day in my outfit. ^_^ The Whedonroom Firefly/Serenity panels were VERY, VERY well-run, despite some audio difficulties and, like I said, a faulty contest judging system. As an interesting side note, while we, the contestants of the Whedonverse costume contest, were waiting in the back hallway, we were interviewed by a woman from PBS as she got some shots of our outfits and interviewed some of us about what it means to cosplay. I think we all gave some really well-worded responses, but no one will get to see them, since she never got the chance to get release signatures! XD I plan to contact her, or try anyway, and see what I can do, because like I said, it was some great footage.

Over-all, the 2006 MegaCon was one of the best Florida conventions in years.

When you dress (and sometimes act out skits) as a character from a show, comic, or anime.
