At long last, I get to see the series. I'm going to try and exercise restraint; after all, there's only 14 episodes. If the series is anywhere as good as the movie, I'm sure I'm in for a real treat.

Enjoy! At the risk of tearing the Browncoat Nation apart again, I have heard that some think the series is much better than the movie. I would not even want to rank one above the other. They are both works of art.

I'm reasonably certain you'll find the series is indeed somewhere as good as the BDM.

Restraint? No, you don't want to get mixed up with that sort of nonsense.

You may be thinking that the one episode at a time route is the best way of dragging out the experience. You're equating it with normal shows. Firefly is so good that you can watch it end to end, then watch it all over again. (Maybe the next day, though. You'll need some sleep sometime.)

We all do it. Amazon's sales figures are high because of repeat business from Browncoats who have played their DVDs into laser-fatigued poppadums.

Firefly is the other thing "that is never going to get old."

I'm envious that you get to see the series, all fresh, shiny and new! Oh my, have a good time.

Warning, though. You may want to pace yourself. When I first got the DVDs, I watched too much Firefly too fast and seriously limited my ability to calm down enough to sleep at night. I just would lay there and run dialogue through my head. For hours.

Still happens sometimes. Just comes out of nowhere.

I'm going through this with Buffy the Vampire Slayer at the moment, as I never saw it on TV. I'm up to Season 4 and haven't slept well in several weeks.

What with Angel still to come, I may expire an insomniac.

Grrr. Argh. Damn that Joss for being so damn good.
