Did they ever provide a name for his planet? I am just curious to make information in a fanfic as accurate as possible. Thanks!

The novel says it was a moon being used as a communications complex that Mr. Universe hacked in order to make the owners of the complex think the terraforming was becoming undone and anyone who remained there would die. No name for the moon is given, it's just "Mr Universe's Moon". If it ever had a name, he either didn't know it or just didn't care.

Or, he didn't want it named. The less people that knew where he was the better, I'd imagine. Besides, the anonymity adds a certain air of mystery that I'm sure he enjoyed.

I think in the novelization calls it "Mr. Universe's Moon" and it give the same explaination as the other guy. The Cloud came and people of the moon left. Mr. Universe took over the the moon and hacked the cortex and changed facts about the moon. In the novelization he also knew Wash and that is how the crew knew meets him. Mr. Universe Was the best in flight class that he never attended, and wash was mad because he was second. So he when to meet Mr. Universe and find out how he could do that. I think they might even have given Mr. Universe a name but I'm not completely sure.

A few years too late for you, perhaps, but last month the White Paper was released for the accompanying Map of the Verse from a few months ago.
In it Mr Universe is listed as the sole population on a Comm Station in Ring 2, orbiting the same radius as Kalidasa Sun, position of +150degrees of Kalidasa.
Doesn't seem to fit with what the movie shows, but there it is.
It's name is Station 2e.
