LOOKATTHATBIRD

I've just returned from my local video store (Vulcan Video in Austin Texas), and while I was there I noticed there were two sets of the Firefly DVDS and EIGHT copies of Serenity. EIGHT! Is this our doing? I realize there are a lot of Browncoats in the ATX, but I didn't realize there were that many that were willing to go out and spend their money on buying a movie for a store who already has multiple copies that aren't exactally flying off the shelves. On one hand I'm proud, but on the other...I'm a little scared and very confused.

SAMEERTIA

Don't be afraid!

The population of Austin is 656,562 people.
Now, if even 1/4 of them haven't yet bought the BDM, that's 164,163 copies of the BDM just waiting to be purchased and watched!

You might slap up some of 11th Hour's shiny posters on local bulletinboards with the name and address of the movie store on them if you're truly worried they won't sell.

11THHOUR

Perhaps the folks running the store heard about Serenity Day and were hoping for extra activity?

Are you saying video stores take donations and
put them in circulation?

How do you know the store didn't buy them? Was
there a sign saying the Dvds were donated.
Maybe the store owner is a Browncoat and
realized there was a market for the DVDs.

The Blockbusters in my area all have 8 copies of Serenity. None of them have Firefly DVDs.

I don't think Video stores accept donations.

Libraries do. Check out http://www.whedonverse.org
