Well, how interesting. I didn't expect to see you here. I thought it would make me happy to have a place where I could sit and type naked. Hardy har har. Wanna be clear - I am a Firefly Fan, not only just a lunatic who likes to sit around in his underwear after work. I have multiple purposes for writing this thread. First, I thought it would be Hi-larious to myself. Second, I would like to ask a small favor of the browncoats, that you don't post on this particular thread unless you are also naked at the time of posting. Third, I would like find out how many people, after having a thread around for a while and not having read it yet, will simply skip to the end of the posts to read them. So, now we get down to it - having weeded out those people who don't read the first post by now, I really want to ask that instead of being naked when you post on this thread, like I just asked, that you start your post off on this thread with the word "Firefly." (as seen above) I have decided it is interesting to me to try this. Hopefully, it works out well.

By the way, the topic is open.

Not meanin to hijack the thread or nothing, but for whatever gorram reason ANY attempt by me to start a new thread kicks back with a 500-server-error...

But some stuff that'd be really interestin to fellow browncoats kinda needed postin, see..

Firstoff, a note on the Inara knowing Book and vice-versa ?
Rather doubt it, but you know who MIGHT have known who Book was, had anyone bothered to ask him (he damned sure *seemed* to know..) ??

Alas, no one bothered to really ask him, so...

But the main thing rattling around in my brain lately has been the Astrology of the Firefly characters, I don't recall that it's ever been discussed before.

Here are my current guesses and those of my girl (we don't always agree).
Format
Character = my guess/her guess
That was it's less confusing.

Crew
=======================
Mal - Taurus/Taurus.
His buttheaded stubborn nature prettymuch gives it away.

Wash - Pisces/????
Wash is a bit of an enigma, so best I could do here is a vague guess.

Zoe - Capricorn/????
The whole sense of duty outside of a physical relationship is also a Taurus trait, but duty before relationship is a lot more Capricorn in nature, just a guess, this.

Inara - Libra/Libra
We figure this one for dead-bang on, since a Leo would be more social, although it's an outside possibility.

Jayne - Sagitarius/Sagitarius
Big dumb lout, gee, THAT ain't a Sag trait now, is it ?

Book - Scorpio/????
I figure only a Scorp could keep secrets as close as Book seems to, only a guess tho.

Simon - Virgo/Aries
I think he's prissy enough to qualify, she thinks he's more the idealist type.

River - Aquarius/Libra
My guess was that she was slightly wack before the experiments, my girl thinks she's 'unbalanced'...

Kaylee - Gemini/Aquarius
Neither of us are sure on this one, really.

Niska - Scorpio
WAY too creepy to be anything else.

Badger - truly no clue, tho I'd bet a fire sign.

Saffron - Leo
Only a Leo (or a Scorp) could be as effective at playing folks as she is, but her petulant temper and lack of total ruthlessness gives this one away easy.

Alla these are mostly guesswork, and it'd be interesting to see what other fans think, so hows about it ?

Fremd, I have been crying and whining for weeks because I haven't been able to start new threads but I just figured it out. Don’t know if this will help your problem, but whenever I tried to start a new thread, I went under the linear mode and then clicked on the “post new thread” thingy. Well, that’s when an error page would pop up. Soooo, instead, click on an individual thread, lets say “A question of nudity” and then click on the “post new thread” thingy it works! Ta da! Well, it works for me, don’t know if it will for you, but it’s something to try.

P.s. I can see Kaylee as a Gemini, all sweet and bubbly, then a second later, all pissed off and rude.
