FRAY, a comic book about a slayer in the future, came out today after a long time. It's written by Joss and illustrated by Karl Moline.

Now that the series is complete, it will probably be collected in one volume soon for those interested who don't want to collect all eight hard-to-find issues. But take note: Joss answers the reader's letters in this issue. Hi-larious.

MAKEROFPATHS

In a few short days last week I was able to collect all seven issues and I'm so glad I did. Read the series twice and now will pick up 8 today.
When I saw earlier discussions about it I didn't give Fray -- a comic, after all -- much thought. Comics often fail in one or more departments, but especially in art. But Fray is superb in all artistic phases, IMHO.
I'll stop here and just toss off this one comment: Melaka Fray is not a silcon-filled doll, bulging in all the female places. But what a wicked body anyway: tall, long reach, wiry, muscular and not a gram of fat. Look at the cord of muscle across her shoulders below her neck. And she has the classic Whedon sass!

be seein' you
