Okay! ::slams fist:: I've got a question.

In Out of Gas, when River is "comforting" Book and assuring him that they will freeze to death before they suffocate, right before she enters is a shot of the wall with some long black thing hanging on it.

Anybody know what it is? Please? Even speculation is good. I freeze that shot over and over and I'm still stumped.
