Sadly, I myself can't see a season 2. I just don't see FOX doing it. Unless they sold the rights to Universal/MGM/Sci-Fi. Would love it if it happened though, that would be so awesome.

I can see DVD movies being made. Firefly and Serenity have proven to be HUGE money makers with DVD sales. Would love to see another Big Damn Movie in the theater, I think that could be possible as well.

Joss said nobody has asked him to put anything else together yet...be it Universal or Fox. I think Universal has the actors under contract still until later this year for movie options. But Joss has said he will not work for FOX again...so that does not leave many option open.

The DVD sales of the show and the movie remain good and it's about time for us to have a buying drive to boost those sales again.

Perhaps when there gets to be enough of us asking for more, the powers that be will give us some more.

Given what's going on with SG-1, BSG, and B5, my money is on a series of direct-to-DVD movies sometime in the next 3-5 years. Of course, given the way the Sci Fi Channel seems to be expanding, I also wouldn't be surprised to see Firefly added to their line-up (a few years too late!).

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

First and foremost Zhenhe, welcome to the site and to the ranks of the browncoats. We're glad to have you here with us. Pull up a chair and make yourself at home.

As Gwek said, there are some very exciting things going on w/ Stargate SG1 & Babylon 5, both cancelled sci fi shows, right now. Both are getting direct to dvd releases due to fan support and the love and dedication of the creative teams and cast. SG1 has two dvd movies, "Arc of Truth" & "Continuim", coming out while Babylon 5 reportedly has a season (I think that is right, don't quote me) coming out on dvd. This venue could be a great fit for Firefly / Serenity and would be cheaper than a big screen movie. I am keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

You can help Zhenhe by spreading the word. Tell all your friends about the movie and series. Convert your friends and family into fans. The more fans and support we have, the better our odds at getting the story continued.
