I have no idea if this has been discussed yet but I'll give it a go. I noticed that the gun Zoe carries is modeled on a winchester carbine design. If we want to use old western guns let us talk about something differant for Jayne. The Lamat revolver in it's last incarnation fired nine rounds of .44 cal ammunition and had a .20 Ga. smoothbore shotgun built into a center cylinder of the gun. It was used by the Confederacy and it just screems "Jayne Gun" to me.
If anybody wants to discusse this or any other gun topic I would like to hear from you. Thank you.

I dyed my browncoat black for those whom have gone before.

I am a collector of sorts. The Lamat revolver would be a Jayne gun but he has no honor. I think a Schoefield 45lc would be good too. Jayne is whatever weapon is available. Vera was his baby so I think Jayne is automatic all the way. Put a Desert Eagle .50 cal would scream for him. Mal definitely is a refined gun slinger his gun fits him perfectly and Zoe as well. The preacher is a walther ppk .380 auto.

"Battle of Serenity, Mal. Besides Zoe here, how many-" "I'm talkin at you! How many men in your platoon came out of their alive".

FORGE

I know it's not an old gun, but one I could see Jayne's character getting into is the "The Judge" by Taurus. It's a 5 shot revolver that shoots .410 shotgun shells. It makes a nice big hole is someones chest.

This is just another sign of your tragic space dementia, all paranoid and crotchety...breaks the heart.

Swwweeeeettt! I was also thinking maybe Wash would be the type of guy who would keep a sawed-off side-by-side in those instances where Revers come into the cockpit. RIP Wash
