Im not sure if I have ever seen it discussed (if it has, can someone pleas epoint me in the right direction) people's ideas and thoughts on Books past.

Obviously, we are made aware that he had a history with the alliance, but when we are ready for the big "yes this is what I am speech" during Serenity, he just says "no i dont."

For some time I have been thinking he was an operative because of the knowledge and skills he had during the series but some other hints have left me astray of that theory.

In 'Objects in Space' River is walking around the ship and can hear people's thoughts..

Book's thought at that time was "I don't think your innocent! Where does that leave me!" or something to that extent.. Im guessing its a hint towards his past because no way is their any big surprise he's thinking that about Jayne (who he was talking to at the time).

Can I get some thoughts on this? I feel like lighting my mood after reading about the actual possibility of the TV series ever returning.

Serenity Sequel people - All we need is for about 30 of us to win the lottery, finance our own movie/TV studio and make it happen.

There are a great many of us that thought he was an operative, much like in Serenity. Something happened that opened his eyes and he turned to the cloth to sort himself out. There is a thread somewhere in the archives. Lot of interesting thoughts and viewpoints.

eta: don't be bummed about there not being another series. A bunch of movies would be fine!
