At press time, Fillion's deal had not been finalized. Fillion, who last appeared on OLTL in 1997, is best known for starring in the popular 2002 sci-fi series Firefly and its 2005 big-screen counterpart, Serenity, as Capt. Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds.

Since Nathan was on the cover, I had to run out and get the magazine. Found one at Books-A-Million. Not available online yet at http://bamm.com

Haven't had time yet to check them out.

I've been writing follow-up movie Serenity. Think I like "big-screen counterpart, Serenity" better.

Please print it here what the airdates are if he does end up going through with it.

Only thing in this world that could make me interested in that show again, even for a couple of days. The recasts on that show are always just so wrong and the stories just aren't compelling enough for me to ignore it.

GH is it for me I guess. Never fails to suck me back in no matter how many times I say I'm swearing off for good!

Oh, I will posting on fff.net and everywhere else I can or somebody else will find out first and beat me to it.

I'm really hoping all the One Life to Live viewers will see Nathan and check out all his other work. You know--the more people see of Nathan's work--the more people want to see of Nathan's work--which leads them back to Firefly/Serenity. I'm hoping Waitress will still be in theaters at the time...but that is such a long time from now. Lots of kissing in the movie.

I keep thinking that it could also be his ticket to an Emmy (he's been nominated in that role before), which would lead to much-deserved recognition.

Sounds silly for two or three days of work, I know, but hear me out.

1) Vanessa Marcil (formerly of 90210 and currently on LAS VEGAS) was on GH for like 6 years or something and got at least a couple of nominations but never won. She left for a few years, came back for a few months, and scored a Supporting Actress award.

2) Genie Francis (of "Luke & Laura" fame) returned for about 6 episodes last fall that were spread out over about three weeks--if that--and won in the same category the other night...over someone who's been on the show consistently for the past 10 years and is now involved in her first interesting story in about eight of those years.

jwhedonaddict,

"his ticket to an Emmy" I like your thinking! Once a person wins an Emmy, you can simply say Emmy winner and not what the category is. Like Serenity II starring Emmy Winner etc.

Like I said, he's been nominated in that role before, but that was before he had a shred of fame. Now he's got just enough that maybe another nomination (and hopefully win) might help add to that. Worked for Vanessa Marcil.

I'm all for it helping to further the SERENITY cause, but I'd be equally satisfied if it only furthered Nathan's star power. He's definitely got it, now we're just waiting for the rest of the world to wake up. Maybe this is the chance. God, I hope ABC daytime promotes the hell out of WAITRESS.
