I actually get to go to Comicon this year for research, and I'm uber-pumped because I've never been before. I don't need more than a day there, but, as I am unsure as to what exactly happens at Comicon (aside from general awesomeness) I don't know which day to choose. A lack of funds prevents me from spending too much time there.

Any advice from the veterans?

Are you going to '08's San Diego Comic Con?

I went to the '07- It was GREAT!

If you want to see something- Plan your day ahead. I waited ALL DAY for the Q & A with Joss-(and subsequently saw lots of events i had wanted to see) people came hours early for things they wanted to see (like the Heroes event and the LOST event)and it got filled quick. And it was in the second biggest room too (seats about 3000)Some rooms are only 300 people

Room D is the biggest room- Most of the major studio events go on there- be prepared to wait in the heat if you want to go in- And sometimes you get freebies. Get there EARLY.

I roomed with several people and we saved ALOT of $$- Prime hotels are really expensive. Look back here when time gets nearer and you will probably see people askin for roomates.

BYOF- Bring your own food. Food at the con is riduclously expensive.

And invest in a camera. You will be probably taking oodles of pictures

All in all- Have fun, stay cool and stay calm( the main for is RIDICULOUSLY hard to navigate) You won't see everything you want to see but its worth it

Invest in the 4 day pass-its cheap and it garentee's you Saturday-which is known to sell out. DO NOT BUY IT AT THE DOOR. But it online.
