PROTOTYPE7

Just had the thought tonight. Thought I'd throw it up for spirited discussion. Might not be a bad idea though. You could get into their time in the war. Plenty of options to bring the other firefly folk into the stories. Maybe some of the crew met eachother already and don't even remember it?
Maybe Book's story could get some developement? Bring back Monty and Casey. Have flashbacks for Mal and Zoe's earlier lives. Maybe even explore that whole sexual tension thing?

So what do you guys think? I know it would be hard to watch the heroes without all their comrades but I would definately watch it.

Mal was a completely different person then. He has more edge afterwards.
Zoe too.

Kaylee wouldn't be around. Jayne would stay away from unpaid fighting. Wash is juggling goslings.

STRANGEBIRD

Not to mention that fact that as pretty as they still are they have aged a bit. Well Nathan has gotten more distinguished anyway, don't think Gina's ever going to show her age. Girl's got good genes. I think that the war if it's ever shown in a more fleshed out story form should be as animated webisodes or even a comic book. I'm not a huge fan of the Serenity Comics(Though I'll buy and enjoy them as much as I can) but I think a TV series based on Mal and Zoe at war wouldn't be worth the trouble. Let's keep moving forward, everyone else is going backwards... Trek, Star Wars, even Shrek for Joss sake. Even if it takes seven years and they jump ahead twelve in continuity it would be worth it. Would be very interesting to see who's there, who isn't, who died and what they died for. Jayne might be the first mate and a fairly honorable even-tempered yet still a bit brazen man. Like Joss has said from time to time people change. Move along folks, the past is best shown in flashbacks while Mal's dragging himself to the infirmary to stick a big frakking needle into his heart.
