HUMBLE

Used to watch DS9. Towards the series end, there was a character played by William Sadler that I thought was interesting. He played a sort of black-ops covert operative of the Federation. Think this could have been a good premise for a spin-off series. I liked the idea that the Federation wasn't as squeaky clean as we are led to believe.

TALONPEST

Yeah, I'd much rather have seen that series than the drek that is Enterprise. I was thinking about this same idea back before "series V" was announced as being a prequel. They coulda done a Star Trek meets Mission Impossible kinda show, but nooo, we have to do a prequel and screw up continuity and recycle the same damn premise for the third time. Bravo Paramount.

DARWIN

You know what they should've done?

Do a west wing version of starfleet.

Or maybe an o.c version of the academy.
And air it on the WB, starring all those friggin nickolodeon stars, young people....

of course those are kinda go-se ideas.

I do like the covert-ops thing, but the name sounded to....stupid like Section 38 or something, oh and they were evil sorta.
which woulda been coulda to see Star Trek go bad ass rather than patriots.

I bet george bush loves enteprise.
