BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I was kind of surprised that Shane got exposed so soon.

Hope Vic catches them both and puts them down.

i love the shield- 2nd only to the wire as the best cop show of well, forever

i disagree that shane and mara deserve a bullet. vic is equally deserving of one, and mara did carin a favor in telling her the truth.

This last ep - whoa! Mercy! Waiting for 2man, to see if he'd flip was p-a-i-n-f-u-l! Great tv.
Corrine - I have little sympathy for her, she's been along for the ride, a total facilitator of Vic's behaviour - too late to show some spine ("I always knew.").
But then again, no one can say no to Vic! It's amazing how well they write his moments of talking people out of doing the things they should do and into doing the things that help him.

Shane is more sympathetic for me in this season (somehow), but Shane whacked Lem, so as much as I like his character, he should be greased. At least major jailtime - no way he stays on the lam for long.

Someone or some people are definitely not making out of this season alive - wonder who? Would they actually take Vic out?

I'm with you on The Wire too!

Count this Browncoat in.

Benn watching since Season 1, one of the Top Ten shows of this, or any, season (yes, that's right I said it).

One thing I have to say, last season's ending I did not expect. That's why I love this show (plus Chiklis is terrific as Vic Mackey). BTW Shane is just trying to be a hardass like Vic except he sucks at it. I don't Vic will put him down, but this show is so unpredictable......you never know.
BTW2: Does anyone recognize Acevedo (OMR).

It's a soap opera disguised as a cop show, or is it the other way around (I could never tell).

Shiny! Let's be bad guys!

As it gets closer and closer to the end the more it looks to me like Vic and ronnie will die or be imprisoned.. I hope i'm wrong.

My guess as to where its all heading is this: Vic will kill Shane and probably Mara too then he and Ronnie will be cornered by the police and wounded(probably shot by Julian), Vic will put a bullet in the brain pan of Ronnie and himself rather than be imprisoned.

I like to see it end well for Vic and Ronnie but I cant see how it will happen.

You may already know, but just in case...do you recognize the actor Benito Martinez, who plays Captain David Aceveda, from his appearance in Firefly?

This show reminds me of Homicide: Life on the Streets, only with more (lots) blood and swearing. It is the only show that has me on the edge of my seat, actually worried about who is gonna get hurt or killed. TV of the highest order IMHO.

Everyone dies alone.

Same here - I almost get sick thinking about how screwed up these guys have made their lives!

@Calhoun - yep:

can't catch a break even in space. I did enjoy him delivering a beating on Puzela - a nice change.

"How much memory does this thing have...." what a moment.

There's a very, very slim chance he'll tip Ronnie... somehow... maybe. Nah! He's so screwed!
My wife thinks Dutch is going to take a slug.
Makes me want to start from season one all over again.

The Shield is tops on my list of must-see TV. I watch it when it airs, I buy the DVDs, I've rewatched the whole series at least three times. It's crazy good.

Shaun Ryan did say that they're going to leave no doubts about the ending, and it will have a definite end, not a fade-to-black Sopranos-style ending that leaves us hanging. To me, that means Vic Mackey ain't walking out alive.

Gardocki's never been one of the REAL bad guys of the strike team, so I see him under arrest and headed for the pen. Shane's toast - he's a dead man walking.

Just saw the last ep. Sad for Shane and Maura, sorry to see Shane cave. F*CK! I wanted to see his character get out.
All I want to do now is put in the first disc first season and see it all again. I did not see the desk job coming, that was pretty good, Killing Vic without literally killing him.
Nice Wire/Homicide/Shield crossover with Meldric.
Goes without saying that I will be watching for anything from these people again.
