I'm comin' off a high after my wife's conversion and completion of the series and, as of a half hour ago, the movie, so I'm authoring a few threads here.

I know there are no Firefly books yet.
But will there be?
Plenty of fan fics I'm sure, but I'm looking for something canonical.
I've got the two graphic novels on their way to me right now, but there's a certain depth to a novel that you can't get in a comic.

Do you know if there are any planned?

And dammit, I can't believe i'm asking this, but...are there any truly fine quality *ack* FAN FICS out there worth reading?

You can try this current thread, but there are older ones of fanfic suggestions that are much more full of great stories, which have to hold us over until more of the series is ready. Congratulations on the conversion - you couldn't be in a better place.
