well.. right now I'm equal parts heart broken and angry, we were looking at houses at the weekend, 7 plots of new builds available and some of investor bought all seven on Monday whilst we were doing the responsible thing and organising finance and prep.

For fuck's sake, there's a housing shortage and we should have a law, I've no problem with someone renovating houses and in fairness he could be renting them but I just feel like... well unusually words fail me...

plus my stomach and I have to work all day Sunday on a server swap.

Right now I hate my life (I don't really but just...)

HUGS Gee it's very selfish of him. I am sure you're not the only one who was looking forward to buying and when someone buys the home intending to use it for profit he's making it so that someone who needed it to live in can't have it and when he's done won't be able to afford it... that's selfish!!

Oooooh, smoothie! ^_^

Which assignment? The ridiculous midterm? I got an A, despite all efforts to confuse and frustrate me. Now I have to work on a PSD to HTML assignment, which is the most ridiculous thing ever, because no professional web designer would just slice something in photoshop and have that program render the code for it, it's lazy and sloppy. Not that I'm dismissing photoshop's ability to make templates for layouts or anything, y'all know it's my favorite program, but the template should then be transfered rather than sliced.
...I just realized that very few of you are going to have even the slightest idea what I'm talking about, so I should stop ranting about it.
Okay, so I did five initial layout ideas in photoshop and didn't even get a "hey, that looks good!" out of it. He's been trying to be a little more reasonable about deadlines and such under a wave of complaints, but that doesn't make him an encouraging guy.
*sigh* I have a bunch of code to get done for the class I'm actually enjoying. I should get back to that.

Evening all

about to desend into maths although going to get my words out first.

Just been watching the BBC documentary following Terry Pratchett for a year with his alzheimers, kind of upliffting, sad and humbling all at once. Reminds me of my Grandad who seems to be vanishing in front of us although that's due to mini-strokes rather than alzheimers.

Anyone watching Being Human? Awesome program again from bbc about a vampire, werewolf and ghost living in Bristol. Highly recomend if you get a chance.

Ah well, have procrastinated enough, good luck with your date Ems.

I just discovered chocolate crack.

Take a box of fudge brownie mix. Use butter instead of oil.

Sprinkle the baking dish with slivered almonds. Layer on the brownie mix. Spread a can of dark chocolate cake frosting over it as evenly as you can. Sprinkle on more almonds. Bake it.

Oh my dear and fluffy lord.

It's topographically challenged and oozes like a chocolate volcano with crusty chocolate lava stuff on the top.

I cut the brownies into smallish pieces and sent it to the dojo with boychild today. Mwahahaha! Small people hyped up on messy stuff!

I made heart shaped blueberry buttermilk pancakes for breakfast. Boychild had them with plain yogurt and buckwheat honey and declared them the BEST PANCAKES EVER.

Now I'm baking a blueberry pie.

Next: something chocolate. Then I figure out what I'm doing for dinner and if it includes bacon or not.

ok brownie death...I almost drown in my own mouth watering

oooh bacon in with dinner. You could do chicken carbonara unless you feel the cream is over rich. I have soaked the white beans and am doing the pasta, fire roasted tomatos, garlic, white beans, and sausage casserole for dinner...
though if you have any zuchinni ( I think I spelled that wrong, but I am too lazy to check) .. First chop 1/3 an onion and and about 4 slices bacon saute until onion clear then throw in sliced zuchinni and salt and pepper and saute until zuchinni is brown on edges. Throw in chopped tomatos and bingo...YUMMY

Just got back from my blind date. It was fun! Had both good and bad points! Coffee turned into lunch and we had Turkish food and chatted for 2 and a half hours (turns out that he IS a Firefly fan!). He's a nice guy (a bit odd, gave me a bunch of flowers and a baseball cap with Fidel Castro on it, for no apparent reason!), although did end up by telling me he had already seen someone a few times and was just looking for a friend :( Oh well, at least he was honest about it, and I had a good time.

Pre-cooked beef tips( or leftover mince or steak from previous dinner) +2 cans golden mushroom soup+pasta+onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix it all and microwave for 8 minutes. Top with cheddar cheese and crushed onion crips or french's onions and microwave 3 more minutes.

Don't worry MsA, I have no intention of becoming a grown up yet. No matter what my Personal Tutor at college is making us do for CoPE ... which is research Universities/Gap Year options/Possible Jobs which I'd be able to start right away if I dropped out of college. Just to specify, I'm in AS year (first year) so in my eyes, I've got lots of time to do this stuff.

On the other hand, Uni applications need to be in by November, so I probably should be looking around possible campuses now ... I just don't wanna ...

Okay Ems, you are hot and frankly a little intimidating for geekdom guys. Seriously intimidating (which is actually hot for aggressive guys who know better) and warrants serious gratitude from a strong and assertive (verbally and physically) man. Never fear, there are many out there ready and willing. He might be right in front of you and might not share exactly the same interests. Try finding a guy who knows how to read but doesn't usually get the time to do so. Trust me, a guy like that mixes fantasy and reality for a happy good time every chance he gets.

Ahh! Thanks you guys! You always know when a girl is feeling a bit low and in need of some flattery. I was a bit depressed about how the date finished yesterday. I mean we have what I felt was a really great time and he gave me flowers and everything and then at the end he came out with a blurble about how he was already seeing a girl who he could do sophisticated things with like go to the theatre and discuss literature but that he was hoping for a friend that he could indulge his fun side with. I of course instantly start to wonder why I come across as foolish and unsophisticated! He also put his foot in it by saying that he had been nervous about meeting up with an older woman (there must just be a few months between us!)

Ah well, if it's not meant to be, ce la vie! I'll keep looking.

Thanks for the pick my up though. You're both so very sweet.
