ANGELO85

Hi there fellow browncoats,

I was a big Firefly fan back then and also have read the first three issue Comic (I was told the second one wasn't so shiny after all so I passed that one).
My question: has the secret of Inara been revealed yet? And/or Book's past?

If not, has someone tried to contact Joss and tried to get answers? I imagine he is a nice guy and would share the infos with us now that it's mostly clear that there will be no continuation of the Firefly/Serenity franchise (despite a third comic run that I recall hearing from?)

Regards
Angelo

*blink*

I liked the second one. I like them both, kind of equally. I was under the impression a lot of people liked the second one better.

The next comic book is called A Shepherd's Tale, you can probably guess what it'll be about. Joss is a bit busy on Dollhouse right now, though, so it's been delayed... Plus, I'm hoping it turns out the comic book delay is also partially that he went back to Fox because they offered him some background deal for a firefly summer mini-series or something.

As for Inara... Well, there's been some juicy hints dropped, and a dubious leak from Morena that maybe kinda was sorta possibly confirmed by Joss (the man is sneaky sneaky, not revealing what exactly he was confirming that was said).

I have my theories about it. They look promising, and explain a lot about Inara's motivations, why she's on Serenity, why she keeps Mal at a distance, and why she leaves.

But until Joss spells it out, there's no knowing for sure.

If you read Better Days, you'll know what hints I'm talking about. Don't want to post them here because otherwise I'll spoil it for you, and I'd like to encourage you to read that one, I thought it was fun.

STOWEAWAY

I have to agree with Byte -- I loved the "Better Days" series much more than "Those Left Behind".

And if you read it with a watchful eye, you can figure out Inara's secret.
