The answer to how many animal patches Kaylee has is 4 not 2. I have screenshots of the 2 that were missed but I don't know how to post pictures on here. There is a butterfly on her right thigh in Safe (look for it in the medbay while Book is first brought in) and there is a white bunny on her right thigh in War Stories (look for it when she takes the apple away from River near the beginning). This drove me and my friend nuts 'cause we went through the DVDs with a finetoothed frame-by-frame comb and answered all the questions the day after the contest went up and it said we were wrong. We started second guessing ourselfs and rechecking and reinterpreting the questions and used up our 3 tries with various wrong answers when we had the right one the first try. If someone can show me how to post pictures I can include shots of the two missed patches.

"That's not much."
"It's enough." Malcolm Reynolds and Simon Tam - Serenity

Likes to mess with stuffs.

I have been previously notified of this. These are the images you are likely to refer to:

I apologize for the error and any distress that it may have caused. We only learned of it after the answers were posted.

As I've stated in an email to a member. This contest was supposed to be fun. We just thought that the scavenger hunt would be kinda cool to do while watching Firefly, and that some lucky person was going to get an extra set of DVD to share with others who have not seen the series yet.

Again, please accept my apologies.

Please don't accept Haken's apologies...'cuz it was *my* fault, since I wrote the questions and answers. As was pointed out by another contestant, we really should have avoided the "count up the number of..." type questions because they are such a pain to verify. Hope you had fun playing anyway, even if the creator was too much of a 'ben dan' to get the answers right to his own quiz...

RIVER
Purple elephants are flying.

Good. Thanks for the update.

There's no problem. Cause... there isn't. Is there?

I was wrong anyways - I missed the butterfly. The abacus drove me nuts!

What he said...

I had enormous amounts of fun... It was interesting to see which stuff I knew off the top of my head, and which I had to go to screen shots to look up!

Thanks for the shiny puzzle, guys!

I thought it was a really cool idea. The Kaylee patches question was the toughest one for me, I held out till the very end to make sure I had that one right, and it looks like I got it wrong anyways! Ah well, let's do this again sometime!

I noticed that, too -- but I had a blast looking for everything for the contest anyway. Besides, it was a great excuse to watch Firefly over and over again. Anytime my husband ribbed me for watching each episode so much I could just say "It's for a contest". Now I'll have to either think of another excuse or just come right out and admit it's all I really want to watch anyway -- at least until I have more.
