IMNOTJANE

I came across what I hope is a not-so-well-known about web site called savemytvshow.com. The web site claims to “Periodically mail the results of the vote to TV Network Executives, Network Presidents, Producers, TV Studios, Newspapers, Radio Stations, and other Media Outlets.” I looked under FOX and sure enough Firefly was listed. Here is the problem though; votes for saving the show 449 (52%) and votes for canceling the show 413 (47%), with 8 votes (1%) for I don’t care. I think these numbers probably reflect the vote back when the show was still on the air and FOX was doing their best to scramble the episodes and confuse viewers. And I know the show was already cancelled so why vote now? Because those numbers are Gorram wrong and even if very few people see them they should see the truth not the numbers that were probably fictitiously boosted by FOX execs so they could feel justified. So I say everyone should take just a quick second and vote so the numbers can be set straight also just incase its true what they say about mailing out the results.

America loves a winner!

Those numbers definatly have been tampered with. In the fall of 2002, I heard about this site and cast several ballots in favor of keeping Firefly. I know for a fact that, back then, the % of those in favor for keeping Firefly was in the 87-90 area. If so FEW folks saw it, how in the world do those numbers change so drastically? Anyone honestly expects a bunch of folks who didn't see or didn't like Firefly to spend time going to such a site to cast a vote for it to NOT be saved ? Even after it's already been cancelled ??

That is just pathetic on Fox's part. I'm really liking them less and less ( if possible).

They don't like it when you shoot at 'em.

I would very much doubt that any Fox people, low though they may be, would massively interfere with a poll like that.

I'm guessing it was probably some of the nastier Dark Angel fans who got all perturbered when we took their time slot(not that we wanted it) and blamed FF for their show being cancelled. Check the DA section and see the percentage there. Surprising that I didn't hear of this site when the show was on the cutting block back then though. Also, if they want to help save TV shows, why would they allow negative votes??? I doubt this site has saved a single show yet.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I would agree that it is most likely the Dark Angel fans. They were pretty nasty when the show got cancelled & Firefly stepped in.

I was a Dark Angel fan for the first two seasons, then the show went downhill fast. The plot just went way off into left field somewhere.

BRINGFFBACK

We need to fight back and demand that Firefly be allowed to air once more. If Fox is unwilling to do this then we must get another station to air the show. Like Sci-Fi. It is up to us to get this great show back on the air.

People spoke up to keep "America Must Wanted" on the air.

We can do it for Firefly........Please Send a letter to every mamber of the Fox Company. Get your friends to do it. Pass the word around.

The only way we will get it back on the air is if we fight for it.

Thank you....

Keep SERENITY alive..

BRINGFFBACK

I was a Dark Angel fan. However they lost the feel to the show after two seasons.

The fact of the matter is that the plot to dark Angel was not a long one. When you do a plot like they did and then reach your goal, it then becomes hard to come up with good ideas for the show.

In dark Angel's case it was a good idea to drop it.

It was however a bad bad so very bad idea to drop Firefly like they did. It never got the fair chance that the show should have gotten. that is why we need to tell Fox to bring this show back ASAP.......Tell them everyday.
