We don't agree with some of the speakers but the words are true. Live your life with idealism, make it real. Exercise your freedom by giving it to others. We do not send children out with explosive vests. We do not hide among civilians and use them as shields. We don't destroy schools that may teach other thoughts. We try hard to do the right thing. That is who we are. Not perfect. 9/11 DID NOT TAKE THAT FROM US. We may not live, but who we are and what we stand for will live forever.

No, not 'nuff said, as only a simpleton would ignore the fact that they trained in Afghanistan, had their base of operations there, weren't acting as agents for their country of origin, but were part of a cult which ignores bounds of nationality and instead wants to force us to convert, or die. Is it a willful ignorance in place here, or are some folks really that dense ?

Quote:Originally posted by Mangolo: Why the personal insults? Are you a Saudi? If so, I totally understand and am sorry. I'm not saying all Saudis are bad, just the ones who funded this atrocity. Al Quaeda operates in over a dozen countries actively and in 2003 Iraq was not one of them. I'm for finding the perps and the prudent thing would be to take out the fiscal structure that supported them (ie the Saudi money) We STILL haven't done that. We STILL haven't nailed Bin Laden.

Quote: (a) Why did Bin Laden only start targeting American interests when we put bases and personnel in Saudi Arabia (his "country of origin")?
Quote: Also, you say they're acting as people who ignore the bounds of nationality, yet you insist that WE must pay strict attention to those bounds by attacking Afghanistan, where they trained. So THEY didn't care where they trained, but WE must, huh? Interesting the way your mind works. Or rather, the way it doesn't....

Quote:THE WHITE HOUSE Office of the Press Secretary For Immediate Release September 10, 2009 NOTICE - – - – - – - CONTINUATION OF THE NATIONAL EMERGENCY WITH RESPECT TO CERTAIN TERRORIST ATTACKS Consistent with section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act, 50 U.S.C. 1622(d), I am continuing for 1 year the national emergency declared on September 14, 2001, in Proclamation 7463, with respect to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and the continuing and immediate threat of further attacks on the United States. Because the terrorist threat continues, the national emergency declared on September 14, 2001, and the powers and authorities adopted to deal with that emergency, must continue in effect beyond September 14, 2009. Therefore, I am continuing in effect for an additional year the national emergency the former President declared on September 14, 2001, with respect to the terrorist threat. This notice shall be published in the Federal Register and transmitted to the Congress. BARACK OBAMA THE WHITE HOUSE, September 10, 2009

Quote: Most of the Saudis received their religious fanaticism and initial training in a rural part of Saudi Arabia then went to these other places. As you can see, Afghanistan is by no means the center of this very decentralized organization (Germany, Lebanon, Chechnya, etc) . ALL the trainers in Afghanistan were solely foreigners. ALL those bases were controlled by those trainers. Kuala Lumpur's (that's Malaysia) 2000 Al Qaeda Summit in might have been the most central crossroad to the hijackers and yet Malaysia is probably has the smallest population of fanatics. Afghanistan is a very poor country with a large degree of lawlessness (even to this day). The Saudi money got these people whatever they wanted, where ever they wanted it, even when the training happened here. And note- one of the earliest creeps to start training how to fly was Hani - never trained in Afghanistan- all his training and time spent in either the US or Saudi Arabia.
