Any opinions on 'Tales of an Ancient Empire' starring Kevin Sorbo?

Likes to mess with stuffs.

'Tales of an Ancient Empire' is the followup to 'The Sword and the Sorcerer,' which came out in 1982.

You can watch a couple of rough scenes from the movie here:

It's been 27 years since 'The Sword and the Sorcerer' and my idea of good have matured a bit, but I still love the genre and thinks a movie like this can be awesome. Not on the scale of LOTR, but at least somewhere better than "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale."

What I want to know is if anyone else besides me thinks that right now, based on the two scenes available, it's starting to look a bit cheesy. Or am I wrong and that it looks the way it looks because it's a rough cut?

Any opinions?
