May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net. I know this is a dumb question, but where can I find the Official Board?

I would like to point out that FFF.NET is older than the OB and the Official Firefly Website by about a month. And I'm probably one of the oldest Browncoats there is, having been around since "before" Firefly finished filming its pilot. If you look at the very first feature that appeared here on FFF.NET, it's dated 5.11.2002 about 13 days before the first message was ever posted on the OB. I just wanted to mention that for the purpose of clarifying where FFF.NET fits witin the Firefly fandom, as there seems to be a small misunderstanding with some fans as to when and why FFF.NET was first constructed.

They said that you (Haken) and some other guy named Jason or something got pissed off at something that happened over at the Official Board and created your own site being FFF.net.

Quote: I don't know who you heard the rumor from nor the reason why it was told to you, but just so there is no confusion on anyone's part--in the end, we're all Browncoats who love 'Firefly.' That's all that matters.

But since we have the luxury of the internet at our disposal, where events are recorded and timestamped, the events being referred to did not happen in that manner. Now, I do have a recollection of events during the early days of the fandom, many of which are rather humorous, but that would be like digging up old dirt. Like I said, FFF.NET went online before the Official Website and Message Board. Again, interesting though.

Quote:Someone should write something to clear this up. I have suggested before on the Official Board that the Browncoat community should do things more together and create a stronger bond overall. It was met with negative reaction over at the Official Board when I posted that so I didn't even bother to post something similiar over there. It seems many of them like the Browncoat community segregated. I post on both and visit both but that doesn't seem the norm which is some what sad in a way.

Maybe a response to DVD sales ... maybe something else. I might not be the only one who'd forgive them real fast, if they decided to give Joss a second chance. But that's only a (brave) speculation, and probably bears no relationship whatsoever to the truth. Jen dao mei.

For some reason on my rather new home computer, windows media and reelplayer refuse to play any of the stuff from the fox site. (also as of last nite i can't access it at all, but i can here at the lab). Do all the files req quicktime 6 or is there something odd going on w/ my programs??

They don't appear to have the actual clips online, just the links. As for animosity between the OB and FFF.net, I just read through to the end of that thread, and there doesn't appear to be any. A couple of people mentioned rumors to that effect, but most seem to agree that we're all Browncoats and everything's fine.
