Hi all-
Newbie to the bboard. Been a fan of the show since it started- but didn't even think about tracking down a support group until the DVD got me addicted all over again. Man, not only was this show wonderful- but you could just FEEL the potential! Like being shown an ice cream sundae being made right in front of you, and then not being allowed to eat it. SIGH>
Ok off topic here- I know Gina went to the Grand Slam con, but does anyone here know of any plans for more of them to show? I'm a Comic Con geek (hey 75,000 geeks can't be wrong ;)). And some big names have been brought in by the studios. I heard last year that Joss had a certain Capt in the audience (of course I didn't make it to that panel---grrrrrr---) but I for one want to see them front and center on stage! Joss did a GREAT Buffy panel many moons back with almost all of the gang (except Michelle of course) and as for shows being cancelled I help put together a NICE BIG Farscape panel at comic con last year (had most of the principles except Claudia Black). There were over 1,400 folks in the room. Now granted Farscape was on the air longer than FireFly- but between rapid fans, kick butt DVD sales, and Joss's popularity at that con- a FireFly panel might be a very cool thing (and even increase awareness, interest in the movie, and DVD sales in the process ;).
Ok, so I am selfish- ever since Nathan won the Saturn and friends who were there said he was the NICEST, SEXIEST guy around- I really wanna meet him-LOL-- but hey a Comic Con panel and signing would be good for everyone-yes? ;)
Ok, back to work I go- if any one knows of any Convention plans- or etc- give me a hollar!
(BTW- any of you actors out there- I have a friend who is a professional convention rep- I think she'd be more than happy to start getting some exposure for some wonderful Fly folks ;).

The con is in England, at the end of this month (yah, I know, short notice for ya!!!) but it'll be worth it to meet the Cappy, Jewel, Morena and Gina, now won't it!!

I just got some news that Jewel Staite is going to be at our con in Jacksonville, FL in June. It's probably not on our website now, but check out www.dreamcon.net.

We're also trying to get another cast member and now with Jewel Staite, maybe we can garner more interest; I know we're heavily trying to get Nathan Fillion and Summer Glau.

Ron Perlman is going to be our guest of honor along with other great TV/Film actors as well as many authors and artists.
