Browncoats:redemption made me believe again

hi

i was in love with firefly back in 2002, i saw its initial run, and was sad when it was cancelled. but like a lot of us, i found a dusty copy of the dvd box set at the bottom of a wallmart shelf. and my whole family fell in love with it again. and then serenity came out, and i remember fireflyfans.net crashed during it's opening weekend. and for a brief period, the verse continued.( i remember people letting fireflys loose in the theatre i was at opening weekend, still makes me smile) And then the movie came and went, and life went on. Every once in a while i would find a serenity comic, or something that made me think of it, or little reminders here and there about the little group on the raggity edge that just never died. and then life went on for me, i went into the army and to iraq and had my own adventures (which from what little excitment i saw,which was very,very little, i descovered adventures were best left to space captains and not army medics) and life went on. then when i was in iraq, i saw articles online about a new firefly movie...sort of. It was something different. It was a group of people that loved it so much and couldn't stand waiting for another movie, so they made their own. I thought about it, and ordered it when i found the website. and six months later, i got back and my dad mailed it to me on the base. and i watched it, and at first i was dissapointed, because it wasn't serenity 2. the wait for S2 was so long, that nothing else would satisfy. but then i watched it again. and again. and i watched the special fetures. then i ordered done the impossible, which i have yet to watch,then i ordered still flying, which was awesome, and then i found my old firefly set from 2003/2004. it was in the closet in my barracks room, beaten up and worn down and dented. and i watched it, and smiled. and then i watched serenity, and smiled. and now i walk around with bit of music from the show/movie in my head and troll the internet for news for serenity 2, something i havent done for years. not with this sort of passion, anyway. and now i cant wait for Browncoats:2, because...well, they're a part of the family now, arent they? they werent at first, but after getting to know them i realized they fit right in. and that was the purpose of B:R. to grow the family a little bit, and to remind us why we loved it so much in the first place. to make us believe again.
