I just got the Freaks & Geeks dvd set for easter! Does anyone else have this? SOOOOOOOOO good! I watched the show back when it originally aired (I was in 8th grade, now I'm a high school senior) and it's so great to see it again:) This has gotta be my favorite non-jossverse show. Plus, 29 commentaries!!! Considering there's only 18 eps, that's pretty crazy:) Me love Ken...

I've heard of Freaks and Geeks! Rather interested, been hearing bout it for a while on the MST3k wave. Frank Coniff, I believe was the connection. I'm very happy for you!

Just re-watched Freaks and Geeks. All 18 epsisodes in 2 days. Excellent stuff. If all you Firefly fans are looking for an amazingly brilliant tv show, this is it. It aired Friday nights on NBC, and despite it's hardcore cult-like following from fans, NBC cancelled it. Hmmm...that sounds like another show I like. Anyway, If you like your tv shows with: drama, humor, sadness, and happiness you might want to check it out. Seriously, it's like television with a soul.

Here's to awesome, prematurely cancelled television shows. Like the saying goes "Only the good die young"

I need to check this out. I've heard nothing but good things about it. At least from people that I know have good taste.

Yeah, It's a great show. It's better than about 98% of other tv shows on dvd. The only other show that compares is Firefly in my opinion.

Freaks & Geeks rocks my little world. So much so that I laid out $100 for the extra-fancy special collectors' dvd set.

I was both a freak and a geek in high school, and I've never seen either group portrayed as accurately as in this show.

Yep, yet another great show poorly treated by a network.
That halloween episode was great, specially the scene with Bill acting like the Bionic Woman in front of the mirror. That was classic!

I love that show. The Halloween episode is my favourite. And I thought it was great how they showed a game of 'Dungeons and Dragons' being actually a good time, and not just the way the public see it, which is.. I don't know.. bad.

And who doesn't love Bill Haverchuck?

Oh, forgot to mention; the theme song is brilliant. One of the only ones I'll listen to over and over; the others being 'Angel' and 'Firefly'.

I thought the DVD was a bit messed up, though. I mean, they didn't even put any subtitles on it, which was a bit unfair. But that's just the company who released it, as they did that with 'Miracles', too.

Mr. Weir is absolutely hilarious, also.
"You know where he is now? He's DEAD."

Bill: "You suck, 'Dallas' rules!"

Man, that set looks so cool, with it's yearbook style packaging, and 8 discs. I want it, but $100 is no walk in the park. I must save.

Oh yes. Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation" just happens to be my theme song. Ever since I saw her perform it on "Urgh! A Music War." If I could, I would travel back in time twenty-five years and have her baby.

Yes, this thread is a bit old, but for all the fans of this show, I have a question:

I missed the window of opportunity to buy the Freaks and Geeks deluxe 8 disc yearbook dvd. It is now officially sold out from the Shout Factory website. Has anyone seen these turn up on E-Bay in the past, and if so, what they are going for? I have been checking E-Bay(I'd probably end up paying double what it's worth, but I love the show) and haven't seen any....ever. I messed up. Next time I see a deluxe edition dvd of a show that I love, I will buy it immediately, without second guessing myself.
I can't believe this show only lasted 18 eps. I'm so sad about that.

I got the yearbook DVD thing. It's pretty great. I actually got my sister into the show with the DVDs, although she doesn't obsess about TV on DVD like I do. My favorite character overall is probably Lindsey, but I've forwarded through the whole thing just to watch Bill's scenes because he just cracks me the hell up!!
