While I could apologize up front for how blantantly sexist this post is going to be...well...bite me. Kaylee is soooooo friggin' hot! But, I can't watch an episode without my dumbass roommates walking in and drooling all over the TV at Inara. When I mention that River has fans too, they tell me to shut up. But, I will brook no argument on Kaylee. Everytime someone starts with me, I make them watch the Strawberry. That usually brings them around to my way of thinking...which is Simon's an idiot for not jumping the space bones at the first chance. No other woman in the cast could have pulled off that dress in Shindig. You'll notice I'm not saying Jewel Staite is hot. There's a reason for this. I think Kaylee's hot. I don't know Ms. Staite (Or whatever her name is now...) I'm sure Kaylee is imbued with a lot of qualities Jewel has, but it wouldn't be Kaylee.

I think I need to sit down for a while. Why do I have to post so passionately about people who don't exist.

Anyways, I have to go...Me and Jessica Rabbit have a hot internet date, and I don't want to miss it.

Sorry for the inane post, but my roommates suck.

Later

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I admit that I do find Kaylee attractive, but honestly I like Inara's exotic beauty and mystique more. Just my personal taste though, nothing against Kaylee.

I'll admit Inara is hot but I don't like girls that use too much make up. Which is why I love Kaylee's natural look. No need to apoligise (sp) for this post. There are thousands just like it on the board except about Mal, Jayne and Simon.

Mal's on the ground, about to get speared by Crow. A shot rings out. Crow is kneecapped.

Mal: Nice shot.

Jayne: I was aiming for his head.

Don't you think I would if I could. Gorram military has me stationed just a little too far West for that right now. Plus, I don't want a beat down by security for both drooling on the floor and inappropriately touching myself. I think I could control myself, but I promise nothing. And the drool...that's just a slipping hazard waiting to happen.

I dunno, Pez. Kaylee is beautiful and Simon is stupid beyond belief for not realizing that (or at least doing something about it), but all of the women on Firefly have a certain something that makes it impossible to choose.

Inara has that classic type of beauty, coupled with her amazing seductive skills and refined nature. she is sex and people are willing to pay. the fact that she's smart on top of that makes people go all drooley.

Zoe is... well i think Wash said it best. "Have you ever been with a warrior woman?" Zoe is beautiful but you also know that she could rip you in half if she wanted to so there is that elemant of danger and excitement.

Kaylee is pretty in that mary-anne/girl next door type way. she's not refined at all but is so happy and optimistic that you can't help but fall in love with her. she can be sexy (strawberries anyone?) but she chooses to be herself rather than dress up and pretend to be Inara (even though it might help her with Simon). She stays true to herself and those she loves.

River has that quiet, simple beauty but you probably wouldn't want to meddle with her in that way. it would be wrong since she'd probably not even be there mentally while you were together. also she can kill you with her mind.

Firefly presents a challenge in picking the "hottest piece", unlike Buffy where you were either into Buffy or Willow. you either wanted the strong, wise cracking Slayer or the bouncy, red-headed wiccan. with Firefly it's like... DAMMIT! DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE!

hm, thinking of Alyson Hannigan, Jewel Staite, Summer Glau... I'll be in my bunk

And Zoe...When I first started watching the show back in the day, I remember thinking that Gina Torres was incredibly hot. When I bought the DVD set...I still held this opinion...Why, because I hadn't seen Serenity, I think. That strawberry scene just made me think she was hot. Then, in Jaynestown, when Simon gets all beat up, she calls him Honey. My heart of ice melted to around tepid room temperature. And the pink shirt and the tied coveralls at the waist...I've already been to the bunk...I'm goin' back!

Whenever I can't seem to make up my mind over who is hotter, Kaylee or Inara, I just sit back and picture them both in a room together wearing nothin but strawberries and satisfied smiles.

She can have all the extra Firefly pounds and then some as far as I'm concerned. I like a woman who doesn't look like she needs some groceries in her neck.

Her face was always puffy, round and featureless in FF, no bone structure.

I could never really think of any of the FF females as sexual objects. The characters were too well developed, you had to look at them as real people.

I really felt for Mal at the start of Objects in space when River read his underlying thought when he was talking to Anara, "None of it means a damn thing". This really sums up Anara, clinical and detached. Atleast thats all she lets people see. Very off putting and probably why Mal drops the word whore often.

Zoe's too cold and tortured by her past. I always though thats what she saw and loved in Wash. Someone untouched by war and brutallity, a jester that dosen't assume the worste in people.

River's too troubled and evokes a feeling of the need to protect like you would a little sister. Again something not sexual in the least.

I suppose I should offer apologies to Ms. Staite, her mother, and her husband. (That'll never last...I mean, she ain't met me yet.)

Then again, I meant what I said. Every dirty little word of it. So, in conclusion, ladies and jellyspoons...Kaywinnit Lee Frye is hot!

Kaylee: "What's so damn important about being proper? It don't mean nothing out here in the black."
Simon: "It means more out here. It's all I have..."

Go to Dreamcon, and Mr. Staite (what's his name?) will go up to you, "Are you MANWITHPEZ?"

Then, you'll wake up two weeks later in Hospital

Yes, because I'm imminently recognizable by the handle. In fact, I plan on wearing a nametag.

Of course, my nametag will have my real name on it: Clark Kent.

No, I'm just kidding...Its really Peter Parker.

Okay...I'm sorry, my real name is Pezzy McPezzerson.

I'm half a world away, and have virtually no chance of ever meeting these people. So, I feel safe saying these things. They were supposed to amount to nothing more than I find a fictional (cue Ben Affleck in Jay and Silent Bob: Fict...tion...alll) character attractive. In fact, I went out of my way to state that. I think Mr. Anderson or Andrews or whatever the hell his name it, would probably be a little more angry at being called Mr. Staite.

I'm just joshing you, as I'm sure you were joshing me. I would say I was sorry...to his face. But let me get back to the anonyminity of a computer...then we'll see who's on top.

I guess that'd still be him. He actually gets to touch her. Kidding, I'm kidding.

Amen to Kaylee/Jewell and the "alleged" extra pounds!. I understand that Joss actually asked Jewell to put on some weight to play Kaylee so she would look more realistic (check this out on the "Making of Firefly" in the DVD collection).

It was about time we had some real looking women on tv. I'm tired of looking at these women who are so skinny they would need to run around in a shower just to get wet.

Joss really had a way with developing these female characters. Jewell/Kaylee is sexy and attractive in every sense of the word, beauty, brains, etc..,which makes choosing form any of the ladies on Firefly impossible. They all have their own unique qualities which makes them individually and collectively irresistable.

In the words of Moses in "The Ten Commandments" "How can a mere man choose from all the stars in the Heavens?".
