Hi everyone! I'm sitting here all jealous that I a) missed the extras call b) don't want to see myself all blowed up on a big screen c) can't even get my butt out to CA to be an extra if'n they wanted me... etc. etc.
But one thing I DO have is the fabulous domain name http://firefly-support.com. And the associated F:IA.

So I thought I would do a couple of things.

1. Post there all the "blog" entries and messages from the set so far - but I need your help! PLEASE link them in this thread. I want to be sure I don't miss any. I've got Nathan's & Bob's threads linked from the main page over at firefly-support.com, and will soon post the texts from those @ the blog itself.

2. Offer posting access to the blog to anyone involved directly with the movie - cast, crew, extras... It will require a membership to Blogger but I can walk people through that easily and quickly, with a message here.

Additionally, if people working on the movie are particularly attached to this board's format, or don't want to double-post, or don't want to learn a new system, I'll just take things from here and post them there.

Also, faithful bumpers, please bump this thread every once in a while! I'll try to do it myself once a day or so.

Here's how we can get you set up on the blog, if you'd like to post directly to it, instead of here.

Email me and let me know the email address you want to use to register for Blogger. Email fireflyblog@jossisahottie.com. (Note: This is a forwarding address that will go to my primary personal address; your response will come from my real name. I'll put "Response to Firefly Blog Inquiry" as my subject when I respond.) DO NOT email me via this board's email mechanism; the address there is now swamped with spam and I may miss your message.

I will then send an invitation to you to join the blog. The email you receive as an invitation should have a link for you to click to accept the invitation.

Once that's done, you can log in to blogger.com any time and post to the blog.

It's a simple enough interface, but I understand if people would rather just use what's familiar.

that's a good thing to do. I think Chris B said he wanted to get something official running as soon as possible but an unofficial place where all the messages from our BDHs (and Joss and Chris B are sure included in that) are brought together is a good thing anyway.

I'd say just post the messages from anyone and anywhere together like you did up to now and if it get's too much work recruite some more fans to help you. our heroes will find their way to tell us what they want to say wherever they feel it's easiest for them. Adam and Nathan post on the OB, Jewel decided to post here on fff.net, Chris B does both, as far as I know. having it all copied together in one place is a good thing for fans that don't read all the forums all the time and don't want to miss out on the blogs. keeps it archived for eternity too (forum threads tend to slip away after a few hundred years).

I bookmarked your new blog page and will keep watching it in case I missed out on anything, as I don't read the OB and not even fff.net really all the time.

just wanted to say thanks.

ahh and did you forget Adams older messages? I remember he posted on the first day of filming about taking a picture of Joss shouting 'Action' for the first time or something. it's somewhere on the OB...
and maybe you can add the one where Adam told us when shooting was about to start, he said something like 'Next Tuesday is the big day' or so, can't remember it that well, has to have been about 2.5 weeks ago and I seem to get old.

See - this is what I'm asking for exactly - reminders of any messages I may have missed. I'll go off in search of those later. Thank you for the reminder!

I've posted essentially the message I posted up there at the official board as well; Adam replied in thread so it looks like it may be possible to sort of keep a dedicated blog thread over there.

I do need to get in touch w/Chris B. I think I'll do that this afternoon.

not exactly her posting, but there is a full transcript of a q&a session with jewel at http://forums.prospero.com/foxfirefly/messages?msg=15950.1 split into about 8 posts over the course of the thread, so pulling all of that into one location would probably be nice.

edit - might be best to check with csteinme first though to see if she minds you pasting up all that stuff she painstakingly typed out for us all.
