Hi!

Just coming from imdb and read this interesting post from user sasya and I thought you might be interested, too if you don't know already:

Quote:

For those of you who don't know it already, HSX is a fictive stock exchange for movies - buy and sell stocks of yet-to-be-released movies and be rewarded when they have premiere according to their box-office numbers. As the numbers from HSX have shown themselves to be quite accurate in predicting the success of movies, a lot of people in the industry supposedly check it out - thus a high value stock may persuade more theater owners to show it, or Universal to put more money in it if necessary.

So let's show them that we're going to see this movie! Registration is very easy, and there's no spammail. You get an account with 2,000,000 hsx$. Buy the maximum stocks (50,000) in Serenity, which are pretty cheap at the moment: http://movies.hsx.com/servlet/SecurityDetail?symbol=FRFLY, and help show everyone what a big success we know this movie's going to be.

and even if it doesn't help - hey it's kinda cool to own 50.000 stocks of Firefly!!!

Hello Nevakee!

Thanks for the link to sasya's post. It's always good to remind people about the Hollywood Stock Exchange and the Browncoat effort to show support for the movie. If you're interested in more detail on HSX, you can search through the archives.

And (since this appears to be your first post) a big welcome to fireflyfans!! Hope you enjoy yourself here as much as I have.

I shaved off my beard for you, devil woman!

I've owned stock in Firefly AKA Serenity from the first week it was available.

It has really helped my portfolio!

Bought it at about 20.00, now it's at 40.00 :)

Pretty wacky, Nevakee... but during registration, it asks for the UserName of the person who referred me there? I hope you've got the same name both places....

Yep, Username's the same over there...thanks for the welcome, but i just switched from a more passive reader to an active one just now (at least for once). I've been a fan of Firefly since it was first released and I hope the movie is successful enough for it to stay alive after that!
