New Sign-up page for Fireflyfans.net is not working

Hi folks,

I had forgotten I already had an account here, so I just went to the sign-up page for Fireflyfans.net, but it had a "page not found" message. Fortunately I remembered my old password and signed in. If I hadn't been able to remember it, I would have been locked out with no way of getting back in.

I realize we probably won't get many new sign-ups for the site after this long since the series' demise, but there may be some browncoats out there looking for one of the last havens for fans of the show, so it might be a good idea to make sure it works.

Also, I need to reset my password, as it was apparently part of a data breach, but when I went to do that, Fireflyfans.net responds with "Cannot reset your password".

You may want to try getting a hold of Haken. I've never done so myself, but I know some people who are still here have had limited success contacting him when the board goes down from time to time.

At this point though, I get the feeling that Haken is just keeping the lights on around here out of courtesy for the small handful of people who still post here. The new sign-up page issue has been known about for months here but it doesn't look like it's going to be fixed.

My suggestion with your password would be to just change all your other passwords if you're worried the one you used here might have been used on other accounts of yours. That's what I did.
